POSITION SUMMARY:
This individual will be reporting directly to the Bankruptcy Supervisor and Manager who reports to the Senior Vice President of Default Management. He/she will be responsible for monitoring credit reporting on all active bankruptcy cases to ensure accurate reporting. This position also includes monitoring various reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure all events are worked pursuant to investor guidelines. He/she will identify, prioritize, research and track key bankruptcy processes on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitoring the setup and closing of bankruptcy cases and ensure the credit reporting is completed accurately.
• Track and correct system discrepancies with credit reporting and escalate errors to management.
• Monitor status of all bankruptcy cases assigned to ensure all KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are met.
• Ensure the timely referral and filing of proofs of claims and requesting motions for reliefs and ensuring they are filed timely to remain in compliance with Investor.
• Review proof of claim and motion for relief reports on a weekly basis to ensure filed in accordance with investor guidelines.
• Communicate with local counsel daily to ensure that all events/issues that they are responsible for are being attended to in a timely manner.
• Responsible for bankruptcy plan review to identify treatment of lien and refer to counsel.

• Respond to Notice to Cure and Deem Current Matters timely and any other time sensitive pleadings to prevent losses to the company.

JOB SUMMARY 
The Senior Manager of Technical Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the long term accounting strategy and development of the Corporation’s accounting policy, procedure and/or position on a range of accounting topics, including the implementation and compliance with new accounting standards. This role will assist in the management of the financial close and external financial reporting processes, as well as prepare various other financial and/or compliance reporting as required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee company’s external financial report accuracy, such as the 10-K and 10-Q, and other filings with the SEC. Support external auditor reviews and audits of external financial statement. 
• Prepare XBRL for the company’s financial reports. 
• Interface with internal customers on complex compliance matters involved in developing company’s position on complex/judgmental accounting topics, such as revenue recognition, derivative instruments, impairments, fair value measures and business combinations. 
• Responsible for accounting standard adoption and implementation of new accounting standards while supporting the company’s long term technical accounting strategy. 
• Ensure the development and support of enterprise-wide internal accounting policy and procedure, the analysis and implementation of new or changed U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC rules and regulations throughout the organization. 
• Oversee the duties of the Manager of Technical Accounting in order to ensure compliance and provide guidance with complex accounting issues. 
• Participate in team meetings, strategy deployment activities, mentoring and development, and the development and delivery of trainings. 
• Act as the key liaison with external audit firms. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. 
• Seven (7) to nine (9) years of experience in Public Accounting, Auditing, or in a related area.

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
